Olwyn Fleay is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and member of the Dietitians Association of Australia. She is passionate about helping people to improve their nutrition and health in a sustainable way.
Olwyn is experienced in a range of clinical conditions having worked in rural Western Australia as a generalist dietitian for three years, as well as in a diabetes clinic for the last year. She has a sound understanding of the diet-disease relationship and is up-to-date with clinical research of most health conditions – heart conditions, cholesterol, bowel conditions and wound nutrition. She also has a particular interest and has completed further training in the non-diet approach for weight management and diabetes self-management.
Working in private practice enables Olywn to practice according to her values of promoting sustainable, positive health change. As everyone is an individual (with a unique health profile, individual food likes and dislikes, and a family/work life), Olwyn focuses on finding changes that are a priority to the client and that they feel able to do, empowering them in the long run.
